Kid-Friendly Korean BBQ in Busan, a Hanwoo Restaurant with High Chairs

When you take children out for Korean barbecue, the parents end up grilling, cutting and looking after the kids, and often barely get a proper bite themselves. When you're looking for kid-friendly Korean BBQ in Busan, there are a few things to check before the food.

What to check for kid-friendly Korean BBQ in Busan

High chairs. Don't just ask whether they have them; ask how many they have. If cousins are coming too, you'll need two or three.

Children's tableware. At the very least there should be small plates, forks and spoons.

Stairs. If you're bringing a stroller, check that you can get to your table without stairs.

Food for the kids. Plenty of children don't eat meat. There should be rice, soup and side dishes that aren't spicy.

Atmosphere. At a quiet fine-dining place, parents feel uneasy the moment a child makes a sound. A place with lots of family guests is easier for everyone.

Parking. Children come with a lot of gear, so being able to park close to the restaurant matters.

High chairs and children's tableware. We get a lot of family gatherings, so we keep high chairs and children's tableware ready.

A first floor without stairs. The first floor is an open hall you walk into without any stairs. If you're bringing a stroller, please ask for the first floor when you book. The second-floor rooms (8–18 guests) are reached by stairs only. If several families are getting together, you can also use a second-floor room as a private dining room.

Food for the kids. The side dishes made in our own kitchen and our 1++ Hanwoo beef soup are unlimited refills. Even if your child doesn't eat much meat, they can have rice in the soup. A bowl of rice is ₩1,000, doenjang-jjigae (medium) ₩5,000 and Hanwoo beef gukbap ₩7,000.

Atmosphere. Lots of our guests are families, so nobody needs to worry if a child gets a little noisy.

Parking. Five cars fit in our own lot behind the restaurant, with room for two more at the front and side. If it's full, use the Gayagongwon public lot a one-minute walk away and we'll cover the parking ticket.
