When you go looking for Seomyeon Korean beef, two things tend to get in the way: parking and the wait. In the middle of Seomyeon on a weekend evening, it's hard to find anywhere to park, and at the well-known places you can wait a long time.
Head just a little way out of Seomyeon and both problems go away. Here's HANWOO GOJIP in Gaya-dong, Busanjin-gu, 11 minutes (4.3km) by car from Seomyeon Station. (Based on Kakao Map driving directions; varies with traffic)
Why we suggest Gaya-dong instead of a Hanwoo restaurant in Seomyeon
Parking. We have a private lot for five cars behind the restaurant, with room for two more at the front and side. If it's full, use the Gayagongwon public lot a one-minute walk away and we'll cover the parking ticket.
Seating. There's an open hall on the first floor and private rooms (8–18 guests) on the second, with group seating for up to 50. If you were looking for a private room restaurant or company dinner venue in Seomyeon, you can even have a whole floor to yourselves (the entire second floor can be booked). Weekend evenings often fill up early, so please book ahead.
Close by taxi too. A taxi from Seomyeon Station costs around ₩9,000. Or take bus 110-1 to the Gaya Park Entrance stop, and it's a one-minute walk.
